In accord with Christ’s Great Commission—to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”—New Walk will join together for a day of Beach Baptisms at 11am on Saturday, September 17th at Fort Desoto Beach.
Baptism is a crucial next step and act of obedience for any Christ follower, which is preceded by one’s acceptance of Jesus as Lord and the turning away from sin. With full submersion into the water, the believer is identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. And this further constitutes the believer’s public testimony—or the outward confession of an inward experience—proclaiming their identification with the Lord.
If you are ready to take this step in making a public declaration of your faith, or if you just want to witness and to celebrate life change with those gathered, join us for this incredible afternoon. The baptisms will be followed by a picnic lunch, so you’re also invited to bring a dish to share. Stay and celebrate as a member of a community of lives changed.
